LUCAS SYLOS – SHIPPING, REFUND & RETURN POLICY

We are committed to providing exceptional artistic creations, premium printing clarity, color accuracy, and durable museum-grade pieces. Because our inventory consists of both custom-printed fulfillment items and irreplaceable original fine art, our policies differ depending on the category of the item purchased.
Please read this policy carefully prior to making a purchase. By completing a transaction on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. SHIPPING POLICY
1.1 Order Processing vs. Transit Time
All orders are subject to a Processing & Production Time before shipment.

Art Prints (Fulfillment via Printify Choice): Production typically takes 2–4 business days.

Original & Custom Commissioned Paintings: Because original paintings are dispatched from our studio in Israel, specialized packing, custom crates, and export documentation take 5–10 business days before transit begins.
1.2 Shipping Rates & Estimated Delivery Windows
We ship globally, with a primary focus on the United States, Europe, and South America. Below are our standard transit timelines. Please note that we have built extra cushion days into these estimates to account for carrier delays, customs inspections, and peak seasonal volumes.

1.3 Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes

Art Prints: Most prints are routed through local localized print facilities to avoid customs duties.

Original Paintings (Shipped from Israel): Original artworks are shipped internationally. The recipient is the importer of record and is solely responsible for any import duties, customs clearance fees, and local taxes levied by the destination country (e.g., VAT, GST). Lucas Sylos has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.
1.4 Incorrect Shipping Address & Undeliverable Packages
Customers are responsible for ensuring the shipping address is completely accurate at checkout. If a package is returned to us or our printing partners due to an incorrect/incomplete address provided by the customer, or failure to collect the package from a local courier facility, the customer will be responsible for the secondary shipping costs to re-route the item.
2. RETURN & REFUND POLICY
To provide fair terms while mitigating international logistical complexities, products are divided into two distinct legal classifications:
CATEGORY A: ART PRINTS (Fulfillment)

Return Window: You have 30 calendar days from the verified date of delivery (as per tracking information) to request a return.

Condition Criteria: To be eligible for a return, the print must be completely undamaged, unaltered, and in its original, brand-new condition. It must be packed securely in its original packaging.

The 5% Payment Processing Fee: In compliance with merchant processing agreements, payment platforms (such as Stripe, PayPal, and Shopify Payments) no longer credit processing fees back to merchants upon refunding an order. Therefore, all buyer’s remorse returns are subject to a fixed 5% processing and administration deduction fee.

Example: If your order total was $100.00, your net refund amount will be $95.00.

Return Shipping Costs: The buyer is responsible for purchasing and arranging the trackable return shipping label. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
CATEGORY B: ORIGINAL PAINTINGS & CUSTOM COMMISSIONS

Policy: ALL SALES ARE STRICTLY FINAL.

Exclusion: Due to the fragile nature, high valuation, complex customs regulations, and international transport liabilities associated with exporting original fine art from Israel, original paintings and bespoke custom/commissioned paintings cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances once purchased. ---
3. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ITEMS
At Lucas Sylos, quality is non-negotiable. Our manufacturing partners apply strict technology controls, ink precision checks, and maximum-protection secure transit packaging. However, if a carrier mishandles your order, we will fix it.
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item, you do not need to ship it back. Please follow these steps within 14 days of delivery:

Take a clear, high-resolution photo of the damaged/defective product.

Take a photo of the exterior packaging (showing the shipping label clearly).

Email our support team at support@lucassylos.com with your Order Number and the attached photos.
Upon verification, we will issue a 100% free replacement or a full 100% refund (exempt from the 5% processing fee) for any qualified print item damaged during transit.
For Original Paintings damaged in transit: Please contact us immediately so we can file an international transit insurance claim with the courier and resolve the matter with you directly.
4. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN (For Prints Only)
To initiate a standard return for an undamaged Art Print within its 30-day window, please follow these steps:

Contact Us: Email [INSERT YOUR SUPPORT EMAIL] with your name, order number, and reason for return.

Review: Our team will review the request and supply you with the appropriate authorized return facility address. Do not send items back to the address listed on your shipping label without prior authorization.

Ship: Package the print securely. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not liable for returns lost in transit by your chosen carrier.

Inspection & Refund: Once your return is received and inspected by our team, we will send you an email notifying you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund (minus the 5% fee) will be processed automatically to your original method of payment within 5–7 business days.
