Lucas Sylos is a Brazilian-born abstract visual artist based in Tel Aviv, working primarily in black ink on paper and canvas. Drawing for more than two decades, he has developed a consistent visual language centered on displacement, memory, adaptation, and the marks that remain. 

Born in 1988 in São Paulo, his earliest encounters with visual culture came less from museums than from television, posters, graffiti, and music, along with his grandmother playing piano and an aunt who first introduced him to oil painting. 

Much of his work comes from his life as an immigrant between Brazil and Israel. That path began in São Paulo, where he studied drawing and abstract painting, with a background in tattooing and fashion design. 

In 2024, Israel's Ministry of Aliyah and Integration recognized him as a professional artist. His work has been exhibited in Brazil, Greece, and Israel, and was featured in Israel Seen and The Jerusalem Post. Four of his pieces were selected for the Black & White International Exhibition at Art Room Gallery, and in 2026 he was selected for "Who Cares," a Tel Aviv art lab on democratic participation. That same year, he was invited by Loomerang to create an exclusive collection translating selected artworks into wearable pieces.
