"Between Sirens and Kindness," a series of abstract drawings in black ink on canvas, began during the first war between Israel and Iran in 2025 and continued, after a brief interruption, through the events of 2026. Experiencing war directly meant living with a vulnerability that hadn't been there before. For the first time, the artist faced a state where control wasn't possible, only trust and presence. The work came out of that condition, fear turning into something he could draw. 

In a reality marked by sirens, alerts, and uncertainty, daily life continued to unfold. Cafés remained open, conversations persisted, small rituals were preserved. People gathered, walked their dogs, shared meals, held onto moments of normalcy. Nobody was making a statement. They were just getting through the day. 

The drawings hold fear and calm side by side, sometimes in the same line. That's what the work is about: what it felt like to keep going, to still notice small moments of care while everything else was uncertain.
